A COURSE IN MIRACLES
Workbook for Students
Lesson 2
I have given everything I see in this room (on this street, from this window, in this place) all the meaning it has for me
OK, so I actually sat 30 minutes last night before bed and 30 minutes this morning with the aid of technology. Using my iPod and The Brain Evolution Systems (http://www.brainev.com/) levels 5 and 6 I sat in the seiza or kneeling position using a zafu and a dense pillow. Monkey mind was all over the place but I kept doing my best to come back to sensing my body and breath. This morning I seem to fidget and micro move about throughout much of the sitting session.
Before sitting this morning I went through The 3-2-1 Spirit Module and 3-2-1 Body Workout that are a part of Integral Life Practice (http://integrallife.com/integrallifepractice). This was slow and mechanical due to my having to read through and follow the instructions but I know with enough practice it will become "old hat."
After sitting I read from A Course in Miracles, 2nd Lesson and Chapter 2 of the Teacher's Manual The 1st Surya of the Koran and the beginning of Whitman's Leaves of Grass, One's-Self I Sing.
TODAY'S CATHOLIC SAINT
ST. GREGORY OF NAZINZEN
“God accepts our desires as though they were a great value. He longs ardently for us to desire and love him. He accepts our petitions for benefits as though we were doing him a favor. His joy in giving is greater than ours in receiving. So let us not be apathetic in our asking, nor set too narrow bounds to our requests; nor ask for frivolous things unworthy of God’s greatness.”
