Day 73

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Look at this window: It is nothing but a hole in the wall, but because of it the whole room is full of light. So when the faculties are empty, the heart is full of light. Being full of light it becomes an influence by which others are secretly transformed.
Chang Tzu 4

INTERFAITH PRAYER OF THE DAY
Oh Almighty!
We meditate upon the adorable radiant, the divine sun!
May he unfold and give direction to our intellects
to go on the right path!
Rigveda 3:62:10 - 4000 b.c.e. ±

A COURSE IN MIRACLES
LESSON 73
I will there be light.

I will there be light. Let me behold the light that reflects
God's Will and mine.

I will there be light. Darkness is not my will.

EDGAR CAYCE DAILY READING
Think on This...
Blessed, then, are they that make their wills one in accord with Him, as they seek to know, "Lord, what would thou have me do!"
Reading 254-68

SPIRITUAL READING OF THE DAY
In humility is the greatest freedom.

As long as you have to defend the imaginary self
that you think is important, you lose your peace of heart.
As soon as you compare that shadow
with the shadows of other people, you lose all joy,
because you have begun to trade in unrealities
and there is no joy in things that do not exist.

Thomas Merton - 1961
