Day 80

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
All of Zen, all of Buddhism, is about the same thing: your life- your own suffering and how to go beyond this suffering, “to go beyond means to embody it and yet be unattached to it".

EDGAR CAYCE DAILY READING
Think on This...

Be ye mindful that He of whom ye speak, when ye preach, giveth power to the words, only as ye practice it in thine own life. Ye may not expect to succeed in convincing thy brother that he should be patient or kind, or even hear thee unless ye are patient and kind thyself. Don't preach one thing and practice another. For this is inconsistent, and inconsistency is sin, and be sure thy sins will find thee out... Don't keep telling people what they ought to do, nor keep telling them what a great personage thou art, but so live that thy life is consistent with what the word speaketh. For as ye may know, and should know by this period, "Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God, with all thy heart and mind and body and thy neighbor as thyself," is the whole gospel and as ye live it ye can preach it... For whatsoever a man soweth that he also must reap.
